He looked at her, "Yes, I am. I actually thought I was the only one around here, but obviously, I was mistaken." Uncrossing his top arms, he held his top left hand up and snapped his fingers. A blue flame danced at the tip of his index finger. It greedily licked at his cuticles. Closing his hand into a fist, the flame went out. He never prided himself on being able to control fire at will. To him, it was just something else on his list of stuff. "So, what is your name?" He thanked the heavens his nervousness wasn't showing.

"Devi & you?" She said while looking at the ground. She was kindof jealous of him since he could control fire and she couldn't. She could feel the flames on her hands start to move up her arms but didn't do anything about it since it happened whenever she didn't need it too.

"Sean." Thinking on his nervousness, ever since they called him a 'four-armed freak' in preschool, he has always been a little jittery since then. He proved them wrong though. He exercised everyday and grew strong and big. No one messed with him now. Even though he was shy, he was the touch kid in town. He was thankful for that. Otherwise, he wouldn't be where he was at today. And moments like this, him talking to a girl, rarely ever came around. He could feel the fire she held behind her. Not so much as feel the heat, which he is usually oblivious too, but fire was in his blood. He could sense it a quarter of a mile away. Even with him knowing, he wasn't going to question her about it. To him, she was probably doing it to defend herself.

She stood up and says "well c ya around Sean." She turned and quickly headed for the woods rather than him. She knew her limits on handling her nervousness and she had grown use to the feeling of starting to change.
Once she was in a heavily wooded spot with next to zero chance of being seen she let the block she had on her shifting powers disappear and shifts into a small calico house cat. She laid inside her clothes, that where just in a pile on the ground where she once stood. The fire that was on her at the park died out as she stayed under the clothes.

Sighing, he stood up and stared off at the point where she disappeared into the woods. Way to go, Sean. Run'er off. Stuffing his lower hands in his pants pockets, he folded his upper arms behind his head and leaned his head back against them staring up into the sky. She was a little odd. He chuckled to himself. A lot of good it did him to talk about someone being odd. Bringing his gaze back down to the woods, he pondered for a moment. Devi. The sun spotted through the trees to touch the ground below. "I'll see you later, Devi." He turned and walked back down the sidewalk towards his house.

Devi in her cat form had wondered around the woods before finding the park. She leaves the park and also starts for her home, but it looked more like she was following Sean. She didn't even noticed Sean until she had looked infront of her. She blinks and mews softly while walking and watching him. Despite her nervousness around him in her human form she did enjoy talking to him. She also figured she might aswell see if he would take her to his house since she'd be stuck in cat form for a while.

Stopping, he looks behind him to find the source of the noise he heard. A cat. He smiled and kneeled down on his left knee. "A girl." he spoke in a soft voice. He had a since of familiarity with the cat. Passing it off as deja vu, he stood up and looked over his shoulder at his house. The black SUV was sitting in his drive way. "What the..." He turned his gaze back to the cat and smiled. "Let's wait for that man to leave then we'll go see if we can find you something to it, okay?" I'm talking to a cat... He wanted to laugh at himself, but fought the urge not to so he wouldn't scare the kitty away.

Devi nodded to what he said and walked up to him. She rubbed against his legs purring softly. She looks up at him with her near perfect blue/green mixed eyes. She disliked the fact that her eyes never changed no matter what form she was in, she just hoped he didn't notice her eyes when she was talking to him in the park.

He saw the resemblance, but he never placed two and two together to figure out that the cat was Devi. He remained clueless to that. Sean smiled at the cat and bent down to gently rub her back. Looking over to his house, he watched the windows for any sign of movement. Nothing. He couldn't even see if his died was lounging in the recliner like he was when Sean left the house. "Kitty, do you have a home?" Looking around, he never seen any of his neighbors with cats. so, where did she come from? Not knowing that the cat was understanding every word he said he glanced down to the cat then up to his house. "What is going on today? Nobody is acting like themselves? And who is driving that car?" These questions were just his way of thinking out loud.

Devi blinks watching him. She hadn't noticed that anything was wrong aside from everyone being home. She did notice she didn't hear any yelling from her home and was confused by that but just figered wither her aunt killed her uncle or the other way around. She looked at the black SUV before hissing at it. She moved closer to Sean since the last black SUV she saw took her older brother away after her parents died.

Looking down at the cat, he pulled a finger up to his lips in a shushing motion. "Stay here." Turning his attention back to the house, he lowered himself behind the hedges and stalked his way up to the kitchen window. Peeking over the bushes, he looked into the kitchen for his mom. There she was, still at the stove as if nothing was going on. Sean saw his dad pacing through the hallway like he did when him and mom got into a huge fight. Okay, what's going on? He couldn't see nothing just yet. No sign of the bald man that was driving the SUV. Where are you?

Devi blinks and followed him quietly. She never did listen to anyone after all, so she didn't see a reason to start then. She looked around as she did. She goes up to the SUV and jumps up onto the hood of it and looks in the windshield to see what she could see.

He looked over to the cat and watched her climb atop the vehicle. Crap. Turning his gaze back to the kitchen window, he finally spotted the bald man barely sticking out from behind a corner. The man was standing in the hallway talking to his dad. What are you saying... Unconsciously leaning towards the window, Sean didn't know that his head was beginning to poke out from behind the bushes. Lucky for him, no one was looking his way at the moment.

Devi blinks seeing a red hair man in the car but her ears twitch at the sound of the bushes. She hops down and runs up to Sean and mews just loud enough for him to hear her. Kaito blinks seeing the cat. He sensed that it wasn't normal but looking into the cat's eyes he felt the sense of familiarity about the eyes but before he could get a good look, the cat ran off out of his sight. He sighs and mutters "weird."

Sean looks down at the cat. Quickly, he ducks down and leans his back up against a short pole sticking from the ground. Whispering to the cat, "So what do we do now, you suppose?" There was no way he was going in there find out what they were talking about. For all he knew, they were planning to rob him and his parents. Sighing, he crossed his lower arms and extended his left upper arm out to the cat. "I owe you a thanks."
